Oil-free raw tape

Raw material tape is a commonly used auxiliary product in liquid pipeline installation, applied at pipe connections to enhance the sealing of pipeline joints. It is a novel and ideal sealing material. Due to its non-toxicity, odorlessness, excellent sealing, insulation, and corrosion resistance, it is widely used in water treatment, natural gas, chemical, plastic, electronic engineering, and other fields.

The chemical name of raw material tape is polytetrafluoroethylene. Ordinary white polytetrafluoroethylene tape is commonly used in HVAC and water supply and drainage systems, while specialized polytetrafluoroethylene tape is also used for natural gas pipelines. The main raw material is polytetrafluoroethylene, though some processes differ.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (F4, PTFE) possesses a series of excellent performance characteristics: high-temperature resistance—long-term use at 200~260 degrees Celsius, low-temperature resistance—remaining flexible at -100 degrees Celsius; corrosion resistance—resistant to aqua regia and all organic solvents; weather resistance—extremely long aging life among plastics; high lubricity—has the smallest friction coefficient (0.04) among plastics; non-stick properties—has the smallest surface tension among solid materials and does not adhere to any substance; non-toxic—physiologically inert; excellent electrical properties, making it an ideal Class C insulating material. Polytetrafluoroethylene material is widely used in important sectors such as national defense and military industry, atomic energy, petroleum, radio, electrical machinery, and chemical industry.
